The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) intendsinvites applications from carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS) projects seeking to launchconnect ato newthe East Coast Cluster (ECC) Teesside) selectionTeesside processnetwork fromby early2032.
DESNZ 2026will forassess applications through the ECC Teesside network.Selection TheProcess processto will identify newidentify carbon capture projects that could connect to the ECC Teesside network,network helpand utilisemake remaininguse licensedof CO2 storageremaining capacity at Endurance,the andEndurance support HMGoffshore site.

How to apply
You must submit a completed expression of interest (EOI’s Growth) andform Netby Zero11.59pm missions. on 10 March 2026. Send your EOI form to ECCTeessideSelection@energysecurity.gov.uk.
FollowingIf financialyou closesubmit foran EOI by the ECCdeadline, DESNZ transportwill andprovide storageyou networkwith (Northernaccess Enduranceto Partnership)the andonline Netsubmission Zeroportal.
Engagement Teessidesession
DESNZ will host one engagement session for potential applicants in Decemberweek 2024,commencing 2 March 2026. The session will explain:
- the selection process
- the eligibility and
subjectassessment criteria - how to
ongoingcompletenegotiationsthewithapplication forms
This will be the remainingonly projectsengagement onevent during the Projectsapplication Negotiationswindow. ListTimings (publishedand location details will be published in Marchdue 2023),course.
