CHPQA guidance note 29: Alternative fuels - energy inputs

Outline of fuel energy inputs for alternative fuels.

Documents

Details

For Combined Heat and Power Quality Assurance (CHPQA) all fuel energy inputs must be based on actual gross calorific value (GCV) in the as-fired condition.

Since determination of calorific value (CV) in the laboratory is normally based on dry fuel, knowledge of the moisture content of the fuel as fired is also required.
