Details

The Bridgwater tidal barrier scheme is led by the Environment Agency and Somerset Council.

It forms part of Somerset’s 20-year Action Plan, expedited after the severe 2013 to 2014 floods.

The scheme will reduce tidal flood risk through the construction of a tidal surge barrier and associated downstream defences.
