Pupil premium: allocations and conditions of grant 2026 to 2027

The Pupilpupil premium grant provides additional funding for state-funded schools in England to raise the educational attainment of disadvantaged pupils.

Schools and local authorities must follow the terms and conditions set out in the pupil premium conditions of grant.

Allocations

2026The school-level pupil premium allocations published on GOV.UK are only the deprivation FSM6 element of the allocations. They do not include data on the pupils listed to 2027follow, provisionalas this data is suppressed due to data protection guidelines: 

• looked-after children, including previously looked-after children

• pupils recorded on the alternative provision census as receiving free school meals

• service children

• general hospital school pupils

We will upload a statement in document exchange for each academy trust showing the unsuppressed pupil premium allocations for the academies in that trust.

Your academy trust’s document exchange user will receive an alert from the service when the statement is ready to view. Having signed in to document exchange via DfE Sign-in, using their academy trust UK provider reference number (UKPRN) account details, they will be publishedable byto 31view Marchand 2026.download it from the ‘Documents received’ section.

If you do not have access to document exchange as an academy trust user, contact the relevant DfE Sign-in approver in your trust, who will be able to set up trust-level access for you.

You can confirm the names of individual pupils included in the allocation through Get information about pupil (GIAP), which is accessed via DfE Sign-in.
