This publication gives guidance and examples to help you incorporate circularity as a core principle when you’re developing or refreshing a local growth plan.
A circular economy is an economic system that keeps materials, resources and energy in use at their highest value for as long as possible. It ensures products are designed to last and can be repaired, refurbished, reused and recycled.
Through a circular economy, waste is eliminated and exploitation is replaced with regeneration. By integrating social, economic and environmental considerations, circular approaches minimise resource use and environmental impact while fostering sustainable growth and social value.
