In her role as Justifying Authority, the Secretary of State, Emma Reynolds, decided that the Rolls‑Royce SMR, designed by Rolls‑Royce SMR Limited, should be justified under The Justification of Practices Involving Ionising Radiation Regulations 2004. This decision takes into account the consultation responses, analysis of the application, and engagement with the statutory consultees.
