Homelessness, Rough Sleeping and Domestic Abuse Grant Determination 2026 to 2027

This is the grant determination for the Homelessness, Rough Sleeping and Domestic Abuse Grant for 2026 to 2027. The purpose of this grant is to support local authorities in England, in 2026 to 27, to:

• discharge their duties under the Housing Act 1996, as set out in the Homelessness Code of Guidance for local authorities, and provide support for rough sleeping
• deliver against local homelessness strategies and the homelessness metrics in the Local Outcomes Framework
• focus on early intervention and maximising prevention activities
• fulfil their statutory duties under Part 4 of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, relating to the provision of support within safe accommodation for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• for those selected local authorities in receipt of additional funding for supported housing support services, commission support services and to increase the supply of good quality supported housing

The grant also provides funding to Mayoral Strategic Authorities to co-ordinate and deliver services for homelessness and rough sleeping.
