Details

These standards are techniques that you can use in non-real time coastal modelling.

Use this best practice guidance to help you:

  • build non-real time open coast flood models using the source, pathway and receptor
  • review non-real time open coast flood models
  • maintain consistency across the flood risk management industry

Real-time open coast flood modelling is not included within this document.

River modelling standards

We also provide river modelling standards. These explain how to:

  • build and review hydraulic models
  • provide evidence for flood risk management decisions
