Remand prisoners policy framework

This policy framework sets out requirements and information to ensure the rights of remand prisoners, which differ to those of other prisoners, are applied and that such prisoners are supported with their specific needs.

This framework covers both unconvicted and unsentenced prisoners. 

The framework does not apply to the Youth Secure Estate.
