Taking Teaching Further 2026: programme guidance

This guidance helps providers in England apply for the 2026 cohort of Taking Teaching Further (TTF) for the 2026 to 2028 financial years.

It applies to:

• further education colleges
• sixth-form colleges
• land-based colleges
• institutes of adult learning
• independent training providers
• employer providers
• third sector training providers
• local authority providers
• adult and community learning providers
• specialist post-16 institutions

These will be referred to as providers throughout this guidance.

Unless specified, this guidance applies to both statutory and non-statutory providers.
