The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) held a consultation from 27 January 2026 to 30 March 2026 on proposals for changes to Gambling Commission fees. A total of 47 consultation responses were received, primarily from gambling operators and their representatives. This is the government’s response.

Consultation description
This consultation, which has been informed by advice and data provided by the Gambling Commission, seeks views on proposals for changes to Gambling Commission fees. It includes three options for increases to levels at which operating licence fees are set, which will determine the extent to which the Gambling Commission is able to recover its costs and exercise its functions, and where its resources would be focused.
