The Pride in Place Programme is our flagship communities programme which empowers local people to shape the future of their neighbourhood. Supported by up to £5 billion in funding over 10 years, this programme represents a long-term strategy to fix the foundations in hundreds of communities across the country.

TheOn 5 February 2026, the government announced that a further 40 places will join the Pride in Place Programme. isThis supportedbrings bythe total investment to up to £5.8 billion infor funding284 communities over 10the years.next Thisdecade, programmetargeting representsneighbourhoods athat long-termhave strategyfor totoo fixlong thebeen foundationsoverlooked and left behind.     • From newApril sections2026: onphase social1 media,programme safeguardingdelivery funding released to local authorities, and assets,delivery phase begins. Phase 2 areas begin to receive initial funding. 
    • 17 July 2026: 169 phase 2 Neighbourhood Boards to confirm finalised membership and updatedany guidanceproposals onto alter the role‘default’ ofarea Membersboundary.
