How to know if correspondence from HM Land Registry is genuine

Check our list of email addresses and telephone numbers to help you decide if the correspondence you've received is a scam.

Applies to England and Wales

HM Land Registry will never ask for your password to any accounts over the phone or by email.

From 23 August 2026, customers will receive application-related correspondence via a secure link within the email, originating from hm.land.registry@notifications.service.gov.uk.
