Regulator’s notification 02-2026: consultation on the regulation of drug testing devices

This Forensic Science Regulator notification has been issued to inform the forensic science community and the criminal justice system about the consultation on new regulation governing the use of drug testing devices (DTDs).

Individuals and organisations from law enforcement, forensic drug testing laboratories, organisations with experience in scientific validation or certification, and any other organisations who have experience using rapid drug testing devices are invited to comment on the proposed regulation for the use of drug testing devices via the consultation available on GOV.UK.
