About the team
The Government Commercial Sponsorship Team is the shared service for commercial sponsorship across UK government. Based in the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade (BIST), the team works across departments securing and managing sponsorship for major government events and campaigns and advising on sponsorship.
Sponsorship activity has included:
- World Expos
- Conference of the Parties (COP) climate summits
- the Commonwealth Games
- investment summits
- trade shows
- cultural events with the British Council, such as the UK Pavilion at the Venice Biennale
