Guidance for new suppliers

A common way for suppliers to bid for contracts is via online platforms known as frameworks. These are usually set up to help government buy a specific type of product or service, and have standard terms and processes which make it easier to contract with us. Once you are on a framework you can apply for any advertised opportunities until the framework ends. 

Some frameworks are ‘open’, which means they can be joined at any time, while others are only open during certain periods. About Co-Creation HMGCC

• AccessingRuns PhDin researchpartnership fundingwith fromDstl (Defence Science and Technology Laboratory).

• The Co-creation team brings national security challenges together with the Ministrybrilliant innovators who could solve them. Additionally, the team regularly launches new, funded challenge opportunities, inviting experts from industry and academia to apply to take part.
• Each challenge is set over a period of 12-16 weeks. HMGCC will work closely with applicants and offering funding and expertise. The contracting times are short, and suppliers will still own their IP, and will be supported in driving early concept closer to becoming real world solution.

Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA).  NATO DIANA stands for the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic. It is a NATO organisation designed to find and accelerate “dual-use” deep tech technologies cutting-edge civilian innovations with potential defence and security applications across Alliance member nations. DIANA supports selected start-ups and innovators by providing contractual funding and access to a vast network of accelerator sites and over 200 test centres. These programmes focus on deep tech areas like artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, biotechnology, autonomy, and energy. Themed Challenges are published periodically for applications.
