Transition of Development Consent Orders and Transport and Work Act Orders to Lawmaker

From the end of December 2026, UK statutory instruments will be drafted on Lawmaker.

Over the coming months, Lawmaker will be introduced for Development Consent Orders (DCOs) and Transport and Work Act Orders (TWAOs), with the transition expected to be complete before summer 2027. 

The government is working with the Planning Inspectorate and The National Archives to ensure a smooth transition, without disruption to DCO and TWAO applications.
