Submit your energy infrastructure application
Apply for consents for certain energy infrastructure projects.

Use this service to apply for energy infrastructure consents, including:
- overhead lines (Section 37)
- necessary wayleaves
This service is for electricity distribution network operators (DNOs) and other energy infrastructure applicants.
There’s a different process in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Before you start
You will need:
- your contact details
- a GOV.UK One Login associated with your work email address
- detailed information, documents and images to support your application
The supporting information required depends on the project. The service will advise you on what to provide.
Fees
You will need to pay a fee to submit your application.
There are different fees for:

You will be redirected to GOV.UK One Login to sign into this service. If you do not have a GOV.UK One Login associated with your work email address, you will be able to create one.
Once signed-in, you will be asked to activate your application service account if you have not already done so.
Continue your application
You can save your application and return to it later.
You will be able to:
- view the status of your application
- see messages relating to your application
- respond to requests for further information
