CNC attends Europe’s top Emergency Services Show
CNC officers and staff attended the Emergency Services Show, engaging thousands of visitors to showcase the AFO role, raise awareness and inspire recruits.
Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) officers and police staff recently joined emergency services colleagues from across the country for the Emergency Services Show at the NEC Birmingham, Europe’s leading event for frontline response, resilience, and public safety.
The annual show brings together professionals from policing, fire and rescue, ambulance, search and rescue and the voluntary sector, providing an opportunity for organisations from across the emergency services community to connect.
With around 16,000 people attending the show, the team showcased specialist kit and had hundreds of conversations with frontline emergency services personnel, industry professionals, cadets and younger visitors, all enthusiastic to learn more about life as an Authorised Firearms Officer (AFO).
Those conversations provided an opportunity to raise awareness of the CNC, explain more about the force’s Mission, build relationships with partner agencies, and inspire the next generation of emergency services personnel.
Dani Whiting, Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, said: “Attending recruitment outreach events such as the Emergency Services Show is invaluable. They give us the opportunity to connect directly with people who may never have considered a career with us, share the realities of the role, and showcase the rewarding opportunities available.
“Face-to-face conversations help us inspire future talent, build awareness of our organisation, and attract individuals who share our values and commitment to public service.”
