DSCC Online: Multi-factor Authentication

As part of our commitment to improving the security of our services, we’re introducing multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all DSCC Online users.

MFA is a security process that requires you to provide more than one form of identification when signing in. This adds an extra layer of protection to your account and significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised access.

We’re contacting all existing users to make sure everyone has their own individual DSCC Online account. Shared accounts are not permitted.

• third-party authenticator apps, for example Google Authenticator

WeOver willthe sendlast furtherfew months, we have been working to gather information on all users who require access to DSCC Online, and guidancethe level of access each individual requires. We have issued several communications on this during this period and, while we have received a significant number of responses, the information collected to date is not sufficient to proceed with the MFA enrolmentimplementation.

We processhave contacted the primary contact for each crime provider by email, requesting a signed declaration form. This form details every individual within the firm who requires access to allDSCC usersOnline, aheadtogether with confirmation of the plannedappropriate access level for each user.

Alternatively, you can request a Word version of the declaration form by emailing dsccadmin@dutysolicitors.org.

Deadline for providing user information

You must provide the requested information by 9 October 2026.

If we do not receive this information by the deadline, existing DSCC Online users within your firm will lose access to the system when MFA is introduced. As MFA requires all accounts to be linked to a named individual with the appropriate access permissions, we will only be able to configure and enable access for users whose details and access requirements have been confirmed through this exercise.

Any users whose details have not been provided and validated before the implementation date inwill earlybe Septemberunable 2026.to access DSCC Online until the required information has been submitted, reviewed and processed.

If a user is temporarily unable to access DSCC Online, all services and transactions currently available through the website will continue to be accessible via the DSCC Administration Team, on 0345 543 8910 or enquiries@dutysolicitors.org.

What happens next

Once we have received and processed the requested information, we will contact all DSCC Online users directly to confirm the date for MFA go live. We will also provide enrolment instructions and supporting guidance at this stage.

Creating new accounts ahead of MFA

If your organisation needs new DSCC Online accounts created in preparation for MFA, email email dsccadmin@dutysolicitors.org with with “MFA - New Account” in the subject line.

Include the following details for each user who needs access:

• full name
• PIN
• email address
• office account number
