Green Gas Support Scheme (GGSS): expenditure forecast statements and tariff change notices

BEIS is obliged to publish quarterly forecasts of expenditure on the Green Gas Support Scheme (GGSS). These can trigger a reduction of 10% in the scheme tariffs, called a degression, if spending is forecast to breach a threshold amount over the year ahead. If this occurs, we will also publish a Tariff Change Notice here.

Expenditure Forecast Statements are published by 1 March, 1 June, 1 September and 1 December each year that the GGSS is open to applications. Statements are based on scheme data as of 31 January, 30 April, 31 July and 31 October respectively, provided to BEIS by Ofgem.

The 1 September Statements arecannot publishedtrigger a degression, as partthey ofare thepublished GGSSsimultaneously with the Annual Tariff Review.
