Details

This guidance tells HM Passport Office staff what we mean by gender recognition.

It also tells them:

  • how a customer can ask for a change to the gender on their passport
  • what evidence the customer must send
  • how to examine an application
  • how to deal with applications to change a child’s gender
  • about the Gender Recognition Act
  • what the gender recognition panel is and how to contact them
