The Government of Saint Lucia has issued instructions on times of closure for schools (all day), airports (1030h) businesses and government offices (1300h) on 22 June until further instructions given. The British High Commission in Castries will be closed to the public but is reachable by telephone.

The hurricane season normally runs from June to November. You should monitor local and international weather updates from the US National Hurricane Centre and follow the advice of local authorities, including any evacuation orders, and advice from your tour operator / airline. See Natural disasters

The Saint Lucia Carnival 2023 will take place from 1 to 19 July 2023. There will be regional events across the island throughout June. Information on the Carnival is available at Carnival 2023 – Saint Lucia Carnival (carnivalsaintlucia.com). There will be an influx of visitors around this period resulting in increased traffic and demand for services. Most visits to Saint Lucia are trouble free. See Safety and security.
