In March 2022 we announced 2 years of high needs provision capital allocations funding covering financial years 2022 to 2023 and 2023 to 2024 and amounting to over £1.4 billion of new investment. The allocations spreadsheet shows how much funding has been allocated to each local authority. This funding forms part of the £2.6 billion we are investing between 2022 and 2025.

The explanatory note shows how we calculated the funding for each local authority for the financial years 2022 to 2023 and 2023 to 2024.

The guidance document explains what local authorities can spend the funding on and issues they should consider to achieve best outcomes.

‘HighThe needs provision capital allocations - grant determination’determination document sets out the conditions of the grant for payments in 20222023 to 20232024 financial year.
