FCDO advises against all but essential travel to the whole of Bangladesh

Your travel insurance could be invalidated if you travel against FCDO advice. Consular support is also severely limited where FCDO advises against travel.

Violence in Bangladesh

The Bangladesh government has imposed a curfew from 2359hrs23:59hrs (local time) on 19 July 20242024. untilIt 1200hrsis onnot 20clear Julywhen 2024.it The curfew will recommencebe atlifted. 1400hrs on 20 July 2024 until 1000hrs on 21 July 2024. There isare widespread violenceprotests across Bangladesh, including resulting in deaths. You are advised to shelter in a safe place and follow the advice of local authorities authorities. 

Communications have been severely disrupted, including mobile and internet services and local media.
