ThereFrom isthe nowacademic year 2023 to 2024, there will be no statutory requirement to carry out end of KS1 teacher assessment. This guidance has been produced to help schools who still wish to use teacherTA assessment frameworks to inform their classroom practice,practice so that they can get the best from them. It also provides guidance to help with internal moderation of KS1 teacher assessment.

The phonics screening check in KS1 check remains statutory. For more information, please refer to the separate separate phonics screening check administration guidance.
