You shouldcan useclaim thea formtax R40refund tousing claimthis aform repayment if either your:
- gross
investmentincomeinterestfromorsavingsshareandofinvestmentsgrossisproperty£10,000 or less - gross income from land and property is £10,000 or less
- net income from land and property
income - income from foreign dividends
areis£2,000withinorthislessyear’s dividend allowance
Do not submituse this form R40to ifclaim you’reback registeredtax forif:
- your
SelfincomeAssessmentwasorhighermeetthananytheseoflimitstheor you’re registered for Self Assessmentcriteria.—Youyou must complete a tax return.If - you
(orthepersonyou’reclaimingfor)UK,UKyou—canthere’s a different form to claim personal allowances and tax refunds if you live abroad.
