Monitor your school attendance
Schools, theiracademy trusttrusts and local authorityauthorities can access the Monitor your school attendance tool. This is available on the View your education data (VYED) service.
The tool includes interactive dashboards and downloads for the daily attendance data your school shares with the Department for Education (DfE).

How to get access
You will need to request access to VYED and the Monitor your school attendance data tool using your DfE Sign-in account.
If you do not have a DfE sign-in account
You will need to create a DfE sign-in account first.
It will ask you to request access to your organisation. This is your school, trust or local authority.
Once you’ve sent your request, your organisations approver will get an email. They will need to approve your request before you can get access to your attendance data.
Request access to the Monitor your school attendance tool
To access your school attendance data:data request access:
- Log in to DfE Sign-in.
- Go to ‘services’ and
‘add‘requestservicesaccess tomyaaccount’.service’. - Select your organisation.
- Request access to ‘VYED’ then the sub-service ‘Monitor your school
attendance.attendance’.
This sends an email request to your school’sorganisations approver. You should receive an email within 5 days from dfe.signin@education.gov.uk confirming approval.
If there are no approvers for your organisation, your request will be sent to the DfE Sign-in team to be approved.
ProblemsAfter gettingyou request access
