Flying supervisors course (FSC)
This Military Aviation Authority Centre of Air Safety Training course prepares military personnel for flying supervisory roles.

Course overview
This course is aimed at unit executives and Flight Commanders who will be supervising aircrew in flying roles. Applications from senior engineering and air traffic control officers are also appropriate. Please note this course contains discussion and images of recent aircraft accidents and incidents.
On successful completion of the course the following joint personnel administration (JPA) competence will be recorded for Service personnel:
- Flight safety I Flying supervisors course joint
- Flight safety I Human factors continuation training
- Flight safety I Flying authorisers course joint (if already completed flying authorisers’ course previously.)
Personnel attending courses delivered remotely will not be entitled to human factors competencies.
Duration
3.5 days
Location
Centre of Air Safety Training (CoAST ), Defence Academy, Shrivenham.
Course validity
This course is valid for 5 years from the date of completion and is recorded for military attendees as a JPA competency. Regulations on air safety training can be found in RA 1440: air safety training.
