Flying supervisors course (FSC)

Course overview

This course is aimed at unitsupervising executivesofficers and Flightpersonnel Commanders who will be supervising aircrew in flying roles.activity. Applications from senior engineering and air traffic control officers are also appropriate. Please note this course contains discussion and images of recent aircraft accidents and incidents.

On successful completion of the course the following joint personnel administration (JPA) competence will be recorded for Service personnel:

• Flight safety I Flying supervisors course joint
• Flight safety I Human factors continuation training
• Flight safety I Flying authorisers course joint (if already completed flying authorisers’ course previously.)

3.5 days

Location

Centre of Air Safety Training (CoAST ), Defence Academy, Shrivenham.

Course validity

This course is valid for 5 years from the date of completion and is recorded for military attendees as a JPA competency. Regulations on air safety training can be found in RA 1440: air safety training.
