Warnings and insurance
Presidential and Parliamentary elections
Presidential and Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in Uganda on 15 January 2026.
Previous elections and political events have led to protests and violence, including fatalities. There has also been disruption to the internet and social media.
Stay away from political gatherings and large crowds and monitor local media to see when and where major protests are likely. Follow local news and the instructions of local authorities.
