Get help with Self Assessment filing if you're a postmaster
If you received Horizon Shortfall Scheme (HSS) compensation between 6 April 2022 and 5 April 20242025 you can get support with your Self Assessment tax return.
Postmasters in the Horizon Shortfall Scheme (HSS) who do not receive their top-up payment in good time to file their Self Assessment tax return before the 31 January deadline will not have to pay late filing or late payment penalties or interest. This document offers guidance to affected postmasters about the dedicated support available to them.
Updated with information on sending a tax return for tax year 6 April 2022 to 5 April 2023, and 6 April 2023 to 5 April 2024 for postmasters in the Horizon Shortfall Scheme.
