Changes to electric vehicle chargepoint grant schemes from 1 April 2026

Guidance on changes to OZEV home and workplace chargepoint grants.

Grants available for homes from 1 April 2026

Funding for the following grants is available until 31 March 2027:

Grants available for state-funded education institutions from 1 April 2026

Funding for the following grant is available until 31 March 2027:

Vouchers awarded to education institutions that submitted applications before 1 April 2026 will continuewill continue to be valid for up to £2,500 per£2,500 socket. per socket.

New way to apply for flats and renters and residential landlord chargepoint grants

If the application is successful, customers and installers will be notified bynotified by email with instructions on next steps.

Installers willInstallers will be provided with a link to ato a digital form toform to claim the grant.

The new platform does not have a portal where installers can check the status of their claims.

Installers will receive email notifications when a claim is rejected for further evidence, declined or approved, and will need to keep track of this.

Transition to the new platform

The previous grant management portal closed toclosed to customer applications on 31 March 2026.

Installers who have submitted claims on the current portal will have up to 6 July to provide any further evidence requested.

If a claim can not be processed installers will have the opportunity to re-claimto re-claim on the new platform for a limited period.

Processing of claims claims
