Local authorities can apply for funding to help with the costs of procurement and installation of on-street charging points for residential use.

The scheme funding amount has changed to a maximum of 60% of project capital costs. Guidance added on the minimum payment method requirement and changes that mean chargepoints may be installed on land not owned by a local authority on a discretionary basis.
