Paying into your Customs Declaration Service cash account

Find out how to pay into or top up your cash account if you're making a frontier declaration.

How to pay into your cash account

You can approve a payment through your online bank account or make a transfer by Faster Payments, CHAPS or Bacs.

Pay online

You need your payment reference to use this service. Your reference should begin with ‘CDSC’, followed by your 11-digit cash account number.

You can find your cash account number in your customs financial accounts.

If you use an incorrect payment reference or pay into an incorrect bank account, your goods clearance will be delayed.
