Severe flooding is currently affecting the region of Emilia-Romagna, including Bologna, Forli-Cesena and Ravenna. It is advised to stay away from riverbanks and green areas affected by flooding.flooding Traffic,and includingstagnant water. The rail service between Bologna and Rimini, is likelypartly toaffected beand affected.many minor roads in the region remain closed. Check with your tour operator or accommodation provider before you travel and follow the instructions of local authorities. The website of the Civil Protection Department has further information.

General Strike

On 26 May, a general strike lasting 24 hours will cause disruption to services across Italy. Transport, excluding air traffic, will be affected in all major cities with the exception of Rome and Emilia-Romagna. Long distance trains will continue to operate, however local trains may be cancelled or delayed. The strike will also affect taxis and ferries.
