Safety and Security GB service: service availability and issues

Planned downtime from 9:45pm to 11:59pm on Saturday 13 December 2025 has been added.

Due to a Customs Declarations Service (CDS) release there may be delays in receiving a response to your declaration from 9:40pm to 11pm on Saturday 27 September 2025.

Planned downtime from 10:30pm on Saturday 14 June 2025 to 1am on Sunday 15 June 2025 has been added.

Planned downtime from 12pm to 1pm on Tuesday 12 March 2024 has been added.

The following service issue has been added: Between 9:30pm and 10:45pm on Saturday 9 April, there may be a delay of up to 15 minutes in receiving a response after submitting declarations. This is due to planned maintenance.

The issues have been fixed, and the safety and security GB service is now fully available.

HMRC are aware there are issues with the safety and security GB service and our technical team are working to resolve them as quickly as possible.

Planned downtime from 12:01am to 2:01am on Tuesday 23 November 2021 has been added.
