Travelling to Saudi Arabia from Port Sudan
Un-scheduled chartered ships are operating from Port Sudan to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. Anyone wishing to use these should seek local travel information and should expect to have to provide a valid travel documents. Travelling to Egypt from Sudan
ThereLarge continues to be reports of large numbers of people attemptingare trying to cross the border from Sudan into Egypt. There are two main land border crossings between Egypt and Sudan, at Qustul and Argeen. The nearest town in Sudan to the crossings is Wadi Halfa (30km from border). There is almost no infrastructure at these border crossings. Individuals are currently waiting several days to transit the border, with very limited access to food and water.
Our ability to provide consular assistance in these locations is very limited. If you are a British national in Sudan and you are waiting to cross into Egypt at Argeen, Qustul or Wadi Halfa, Argeenand orrequire Qustul,urgent youassistance, should contact the British Embassy in Cairo on +2+ 2 (02) 2791 6000.
