Overview

We attend a range of events to meet customers and give advice and guidance on planting woodland. We also hold face-to-face and online training events and webinars on specific grant schemes and areas of forestry, that we encourage people to sign up to in advance.

We update this page regularly with new events.

Alternative Land Uses: Agroforestry (Devon)

Date: 17 April 2024

Farmers Weekly is helping farmers and landowners to consider the opportunities their land provides for additional revenue streams. Come along to Elston Farm, Copplestone for a farm walk, lunch and chats on agroforestry. You’ll hear directly from Andy Gray, a livestock farmer with a 3-year old agroforestry project. The farming and land management sector is changing. Planting trees and creating new woodlands can provide direct sources of income and reduce farm input costs. With new grants and incentives from the Forestry Commission and partners there has never been as much financial and practical support available.

This training day will provide agents with the knowledge and confidence to complete England Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO)(EWCO) applications quickly and efficiently. Book tickets: EWCO training day - Exeter or EWCO training day - Chippenham.

East Anglian Game & Country Fair (Suffolk)

Groundswell (Hertfordshire)

Association of Professional Foresters (APF 2024) (Warwickshire)

Date: 19 to 21 September 2024

We expand, protect, improve and connect England’s trees woodlands and forests, promoting the sustainable management of woodlands and increasing their value to society and the environment. 

Come and talk to us for advice and support on woodland creation, woodland management, how to reduce the threat from pests and diseases and see Forest Research demonstrating their work in their innovative mobile laboratory. Get tickets for APF 2024.
